BrushVector is operated by L. J. Atkinson ("we", "us"), trading as BrushVector, of 6 Oak Terrace, Leeds LS15 8JG, United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@brushvector.com.
BrushVector is a browser-based vector drawing, rigging and animation studio, available at brushvector.com. The app runs locally in your browser: your artwork and projects are stored on your device, not on our servers. There are three ways to use it: a free tier available without an account, a monthly Pro subscription, and a one-time lifetime licence. The features included in each are listed on our pricing page, which forms part of these terms.
Paid plans require an account, which you create with an email address; we sign you in with emailed magic links rather than passwords. You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and you must give us an accurate email address, since it's how we deliver receipts, renewal information and service notices.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Pro subscription. The Pro plan is a monthly auto-renewing subscription that starts at £15 per month. For every 12 months you have been a paying subscriber, the monthly price permanently drops by £3: to £12, then £9, £6, and £3. After 60 subscribed months you will not be charged again and you keep full Pro access for as long as BrushVector exists. Subscribed months are counted cumulatively: if you cancel and later return, you resume at the price your total subscribed months have earned. Your progress toward free is never reset.
Lifetime licence. A one-time payment of £299 that permanently unlocks every Pro feature, including all future updates, with no recurring charges.
Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Details of how to cancel and your refund rights are in section 5 and our refund policy.
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the Account menu inside the app, which takes you to your billing portal. No phone calls, no forms. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. You also have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period after subscribing or buying a lifetime licence; see the refund policy.
Everything you create with BrushVector belongs to you on every plan, including the free tier. You may use anything you make commercially, without restriction or attribution. Because the app is local-first, we never receive, store or access your artwork.
You agree not to misuse the service: no attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts, no reselling or sublicensing access to the app, and no using the service in breach of applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, refunding any unused portion of a subscription unless the breach was deliberate or fraudulent.
The BrushVector software, site, brand and built-in assets (brushes, templates and presets) remain our property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them within the app. Built-in assets may be used freely in the artwork you create.
We improve BrushVector continuously and may add, change or retire individual features. We will not remove your entitlement to the plan you've paid for. In particular, a completed loyalty ladder (60 subscribed months) or a lifetime licence keeps full Pro access permanently. If we ever discontinue BrushVector entirely, we will give reasonable notice, and because the app is local-first your existing work remains on your device and yours.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £50 on the free tier). We recommend you keep backups of important work. The app stores projects on your device, and we cannot recover data we never hold.
If we make material changes to these terms we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree to the new terms you can cancel before they apply. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
